Grains are quite likely probably one of the most versatile foods out there - many varieties, many uses, and even some confusion and controversy. They are also used in most every culture, in some way.

  • Looking to make some bread - grains will be one of your go-to items to get started with it
  • Want to make your own malt liquor or hard liquor (vodka, whiskey, etc...) - look to grains to help with that
  • Putting together a meal for one or many, and rice is often a side dish. Some cultures just consider it a staple that goes along with every meal they eat

Some people say they are bad for humans, causing inflammation and irritation in the digestive system. And some grains are bad for those with Celiac disease, yet others are fine for them. Yet others consider them fine for humans, and manay Asian meals include some type of rice at every meal.
